Food Resources in Broward County

The Pride Center at Equality Park compiled a list of many of the food resources available in Broward County. 

Feeding South Florida is working with cities, police departments and partner agencies to host regular drive-thru distributions and continue providing food to the community in a centralized, organized way. Broward County Public Schools has been closed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), but the District remains committed to serving the community by offering grab-and-go meals for breakfast and lunch to children and their families at select locations, listed here: https://bit.ly/2yndnFv

Home-delivered regular, kosher, and pureed frozen meals are delivered weekly by Meals on Wheels South Florida. If you are age 60 or older, please contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County, Florida Helpline at 954.745.9779 for assistance in applying for Home Delivered Meals. If you are under 60, please contact Meals on Wheels South Florida directly at 954.731.8770. 

Poverello is providing healthy groceries by pickup and delivery to those experiencing severe financial hardship. To qualify, you must be food insecure, a Broward County resident and make less than 150% of federal poverty level. Email intake@poverello.org or call 954-561-3663 to start your intake appointment and receive up to six weeks of healthy groceries. Poverello’s food pantry services are also open to Broward County residents living with HIV who make less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
