The Palm Beach Improv presents Jon Lovitz today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Jon Lovitz has been one of the best-known comedians for the last twenty years. He began taking classes with the famous improv comedy group, “The Groundlings” in 1982. One year later, after being accepted into “The Sunday Company”, Jon got his first acting job on the television show “The Paper Chase: The Second Year”. Then, in September of 1984, he was accepted into the main company at “The Groundlings.” On March 28, 1985, “The Groundlings” appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” where Jon premiered his character “Tommy Flanagan of Pathological Liars Anonymous”. Following the introduction of this persona, Jon got an agent, and booked a movie, a series, a voice over for a cartoon, and “Saturday Night Live”. The rest is history. The Miami Improv presents comedian Matteo Lane tonight and tomorrow Thursday, April 22. Matteo Lane is a New York-based comedian whose stand-up special can be seen on Netflix’s The Comedy Lineup. He’s also appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Late Night With Seth Meyers, HBO’s Crashing and Will & Grace. Matteo is currently developing an animated series Kickass Drag Queen, together with Bob the Drag Queen, Gary Sanchez and Unicorn Island Productions, and co-hosts the podcast Inside the Closet together with Emma Willmann. Not limited to just stand up, Matteo also performs a live cabaret, Streisand at the Bon Soir, to great critical acclaim. Fluent in five languages and with a singing range of six octaves, Matteo lived in Italy as an oil painter and opera singer before starting his comedy career. Tickets $22 at

This Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA) is hosting “Michael Richards: Are You Down?” ― the first museum retrospective of the work of Michael Richards. The Afro-Caribbean artist’s sculptural and drawing practice reflects on issues of racial inequity, anti-blackness, and diasporic identity. Co-curated by Alex Fialho and Melissa Levin, “Michael Richards: Are You Down?” marks the largest exhibition of Richards’ work to date and will be on view through Oct. 10. Richards passed away in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks while working in his Lower Manhattan Cultural Council World Views studio, located on the 92nd floor of World Trade Center Tower One. The exhibition commemorates the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
