Hamburger Mary’s Wilton Manors presents “RuPaul’s Drag Race” superstar Mayhem Miller performing at 8pm and 10:30pm tonight and tomorrow.

Alibi Monkey Bar presents a new Friday night show at 7pm called “Music and Vibez” with Jordana Forrest.

The Twentieth Century Way by Tom Jacobson, a historical little-known chapter in Southern California history, returns in dramatic form through 31 to kick off Island City Stage’s 10th Anniversary Season. This gripping period drama which launched the theatre company’s award-winning run in 2012 recounts the true story of two actors who hired themselves out to the Long Beach Police Department in 1914 to entrap “social vagrants.”  Thirty-one men were arrested, and the ensuing scandal led to an ordinance against “oral sodomy” in California. The Manor Complex presents celebrity festival headliner Nina Flowers in “NINALAND” in the ballroom. The night will also feature spectacular productions, novelty acts and dancers. Noche Latina Saturdays in the Ivy Dance room and Patio features a Salute toe the Miss Florida F.I. Pageantry System with performances by Miss Florida F.I. Kylee Hunter, Miss Florida F.I. Supreme Erika Norell, and Mr. Florida M.E. Raul Vegas. Legendary jazz-rock icon – Steely Dan – has set the “Absolutely Normal Tour ’21,” which kicks off with a four-night residency at the Fillmore Miami Beach tonight, through Saturday, October 9. Each night will feature the band performing a different album in its entirety.  On the 5th it will be Aja; 6th will feature The Royal Scam; 8th will feature Gaucho; And on the 9th they will be doing selected cuts from their new live album Northeast Corridor. Reserved seat tickets for each Steely Dan Residency performance are $256.50, $181.50, $131.50, $96, $76, and $41.50.   Tickets now on sale through Ticketmaster or the Fillmore Box Office during show days.

The monthly Pride Skate to benefit Stonewall Pride takes place today from 7-10pm at Xtreme Action Park. “Eat Your Heart Out,” Fort Lauderdale’s favorite food and “fun”raiser featuring gourmet creations, fresh libations, celebrity servers, live entertainment and a silent auction, returns to The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale today from 6 – 8:30 p.m. This year’s event that benefits the Heart Gallery of Broward County, a respected nonprofit organization committed to finding loving families for the hardest to place foster children, will honor the Moss Foundation as Child Advocates of the Year 2021. Also, as part of “National Coming Out Day,” October 11, ArtServe will show a 20-minute black and white documentary film entitled “Open Dialogues:  Stories from the LGBTQ Community” that will be followed by a panel discussion.  Produced by the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, the film captures the diverse coming-out narratives of seven Broward residents who took part in on-camera interviews. Directed by Freddy Rodriguez and produced by the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood, “Open Dialogues” explores how the LGBTQ community is marginalized among families, schools, churches and public spaces – and how individuals interviewed for the film learned to empower themselves in these spaces.

The Social event of the season returns, as the 49th Anniversary of the Miss Florida F.I. Pageantry System returns on Sunday and Monday, October 3 and 4th at the beautiful “Crystal Ballroom” at The Venue/The Manor Fort Lauderdale (2345 Wilton Drive). On Sunday October 3 it will be three pageants in one night with Miss Florida F.I. At Large, Mr. Florida M.E. and Miss Florida F.I. Supreme pageants.
