The 2020 Summer Olympics, delayed until 2021, were the “gayest Olympics ever” with over 120 openly out LGBTQ+ athletes. The 2022 Winter Olympics may not be quite that gay, but as of now there are at least 17 openly LGBTQ+ competitors headed to Beijing. From US figure-skater Timothy LeDuc who is the first openly non-binary athlete to compete in the Winter Olympics to returning champion Eric Radford who was the first ever openly gay Gold Medalist from the 2018 Olympics.
