This summer, a low-cost British airline has accidentally delivered the most viral sound of 2025 — and it’s got the internet buzzing. The phrase “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday,” voiced by British actress Zoë Lister over queer favorite Jess Glynne’s upbeat hit “Hold My Hand,” has taken over TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.

Whether you’re a dedicated social media scroller or just casually online, chances are you’ve heard it at least once in the past few months. Originally part of Jet2’s advertisements, and even used as boarding music on their flights, the sound has exploded into a trend. Jet2 also sponsored an LGBTQ pride festival in Leeds recently when drag performers held signs reading, “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday,” while Lister performed her narration onstage.

Travelers, queer influencers, and even celebrities are using it to highlight everything from dreamy vacation clips to hilarious travel mishaps, like parasailing fails or being swept off your feet by massive waves. It’s not just ordinary users getting in on the fun. LGBTQ advocate and actor Jeff Goldblum himself went viral with a cheeky twist, swapping “Jet2” for his own name and delivering a perfectly timed performance to the music.

The now-iconic ad script has been featured in Jet2 campaigns since 2015, but its social media fame is brand new. The audio skyrocketed in popularity in April when Jet2 launched a TikTok contest inviting fans to lip-sync it for airfare vouchers. Since then, more than 1.4 million TikTok videos have used the original sound. According to Google Trends, searches for “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” and “Jet2 holiday song” hit record highs in July 2025.
