In Wilton Manors, the spotlight will be on community, music, and pride this weekend on August 23. The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, The Bears of South Florida, and Hunter’s Nightclub are coming together to host The Wilton Manors Community Sing-Along. Doors open at 2:30 PM with singing from 3 to 5 in the afternoon.

Organizers say this is an event for everyone: LGBTQ+ people, allies, families, and music lovers alike. The atmosphere promises to be inclusive, uplifting, and filled with song and spirit. And if you’re worried about stage fright, don’t be. As the GMCSF website puts it, “This isn’t a concert or rehearsal. It’s an uplifting, shared musical gathering.”

No sheet music, no pressure—just lyrics shared aloud and voices rising together. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or someone who just loves to belt a chorus, the event invites you to come as you are and join the harmony. Expect a joyful mix of Broadway gems, pop favorites, and beloved classics. Tickets are ten dollars in advance or fifteen at the door.

The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida is a vibrant community of voices, blending generations and cultures in harmony with one mission: to shape a brighter, more inclusive future through music. And that mission is on full display this weekend, as Wilton Manors fills with hearts, harmony, and pride. More details will be available on Gmcsf.org.
