In Alabama, the former owner of Crossroads Bar and Grill is suing the Town of Rockford, alleging anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination after officials denied his liquor and entertainment licenses. Thomas Fuller claims the town singled him out because of his sexual orientation and forced him to shut down his business. According to the federal lawsuit, Rockford’s council questioned his character and morals and blocked drag shows while granting other heterosexual-owned venues similar approvals. Fuller says the denials made it fatal to his business. The town was served a court summons on October 15 and has 21 days to respond.
