Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s daughter, Hope Walz, is speaking out after days of harassment targeting her family, harassment she says was fueled by the president’s recent use of the r-word to describe her father. In a now-deleted TikTok video, Hope unleashed on MAGA trolls, saying the president’s insult “has unleashed a fing st storm regarding offensive language towards me and my family and specifically my brother.*” She defended her brother, Gus, who has a nonverbal learning disorder. “You can call me whatever you want… when it’s Gus, f**K to the no… He dealt with people calling him that last August, and now there’s a resurgence? No.” Hope said messages flooding her DMs have been absolutely horrendous, and that someone even drove past their home and yelled the slur.
