A new report from Bespoke Surgical is sparking conversation about anatomy, confidence, and intimacy across the United States. The private New York medical practice surveyed more than 3,000 adults, asking respondents with a penis to self-report flaccid and erect length. Findings show the average self-reported erect penis length in the U.S. is 6.34 inches, growing about 3.09 inches from soft to erect.
Iowa ranked highest at 7.13 inches, and Florida reported an average of 6.52 inches. However, researchers say the data rely on self-reporting. The study also found 47% of gay men say size impacts confidence with a new partner. Over 80 percent of gay men reported comparing themselves to others. Still, emotional connection was ranked highest, while penis size ranked last.
