Participate in the 23rd Annual AIDS Walk Miami

Gather with friends, family and coworkers on Sunday, April 3 at 8 a.m. at Miami Convention Center for the kick off to the 23rd Annual AIDS Walk Miami. The 5K (3.1 mile) walk-a-thon fundraiser benefits Care Resource, South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community organization which provides Primary Medical Care, Dental, Psychosocial, Case Management, Outreach and Prevention, Food Bank, Home Delivered Meals and Nutritional counseling and education to over 15,000 residents living in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties who are either affected or infected with HIV/AIDS. Funds raised from The Walk will also benefit Empower U, a not-for-profit minority, peer-based and managed organization founded by and for people living with HIV/AIDS and The Center for Positive Connections, a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization leader in the treatment of HIV and services that complement traditional medical care.

This year, the walk will be led by Grand Marshal Jai Rodriguez, star of the film “Oy Vey! My Son is Gay!” and Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Miami Beach Convention Center followed by the opening ceremonies and invocation at 8:30 a.m. The Walk will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a post-walk celebration at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens featuring complimentary drinks, snacks, vendor booths and entertainment sponsored by MTV Latin America.
