At what age did female impersonation become an interest?
18 is when I saw my first show and there was no stopping my creativity after that.

How did you pick your name?
Even before I started doing drag I was prim and proper and my roommate used to call me Princess. When it came time to do my first show they asked me what my drag name was and I just said call me Princess. A few years later I added “The” to it. Due to the way I look it kind of takes on the juxtaposition to what the word princess really means.

How did you go about getting on “RuPaul’s Drag Race?” Tell me about the experience?
My friends told me they were accepting auditions. We made a video that week and they called and accepted me. This year was my first time auditioning and luckily I got it on the first try. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world. It was intense, like a drag boot camp. We had to get in drag at 6 am some days. It was a challenge, but one I accepted with open arms and was grateful to be a part of.

Although I would have liked to have been around longer, I am so happy with the experience and I loved the judges. This was definitely just a stepping stone for me.

Who do you want to win?
I am team Chad Michaels all the way. He has a heart of gold and his drag is so professional, eloquent and graceful. It’s the kind of drag I love to watch!

Tell me about the man behind The Princess?
What you see on TV is not that much different from who I am. I am very calm, cool and collected. I love everybody; I am a new wave hippie. I really don’t like talking about myself, especially the boy part.

Tell me something people would be surprised to know about you?
I am not shy, rather I am just reserved and I am not afraid of any situation. I am just very even keeled and people can’t get under my skin as my self esteem is very confident.

What’s ahead for The Princess ?
I cannot wait to visit the cities around the country and meet all the fans. I have received so much love and support I am excited to get out there and hug my fans and perform for them.
