A week ago Monday was the first of 8 days celebrating the 3rd anniversary of Village Pub. They started with their annual Turnabout, which as usual was packed and was a benefit for their Smart Ride Team, Team Cintora. On Tuesday Mack Planet hosted their bi-monthly Mack Power Lunch at Capital Grill, and once again was packed. Tuesday Night was the -Mark’s List.LGBT Launch at Pride Center, which featured a packed house. The business owners were very excited to find out about all the exciting features on Marks List that can help the build their return on investment.  On Wednesday Raul and Jorge presented the first annual Miss Miami F.I., which was the first preliminary for Miss Florida F.I. 2016. Congrats to the winner, Amanda D’rhod and first runner up Velvet LeNore, who will both be going to Miss Florida representing Miss Miami F.I. Additional congrats goes out to Raul and Jorge for putting on such a beautiful pageant. On Thursday, GLBX hosted their monthly After Hours Mixer at Grille 401 on Las Olas. On Friday night was the opening party for the 7th annual Mifo Fort Lauderdale Film Festival. The events go through the weekend so check out the schedule at Mifofilm.com. Also on Friday, the Stonewall Museum and Archives presented their 1st annual Pub Crawl from 5-11pm, which was the officially sanctioned Pride Fort Lauderdale kickoff party. They went to many establishments all over the drive. Also on Friday, was the Cake Cutting ceremony at Village Pub celebrating their 3rd anniversary. Pride Fort Lauderdale held their annual Pridefest on Saturday and Sunday at Holiday Park/War Memorial Auditorium. On Sunday night, The Ramrod presented their annual Mr. Ramrod Contest at 10pm, which is a preliminary for International Mr. Leather. Congrats to winner Darran Mazaika.

Friday, October 16

Latinos Salud invites everyone to come be part of their annual Hispanic Heritage Food Bazaar at 8 pm at their Wilton Manors location.  Honoring National Latinos AIDS Awareness Day and Hispanic Heritage, you can sign up to represent your country! There will be prizes for Best Table, Best Food, and Best Costume. It’s always a great time to make new friends and share delicious recipes!

Ramrod presents their monthly Mandance (3rd Friday of the month) which is a leather/fetish event featuring the sounds of DJ Herbie James.

 

Saturday, October 17

The Manor Saturdays presents the exclusive south Florida appearance of Candis Cayne, cast member of reality television show “I AM CAIT.” Candis will be performing live. The night will also star DJ Monty Q in the Ballroom. In the Ivy Lounge and patio, Noche Latina Saturdays presents special guests Kalah Mendoza, Miss Noche Latina 2015, and Champagne Bordeaux along with DJ Nena spinning. The Manor Saturdays features, spectacular productions, incredible decor and beautiful dancers.Doors open 11pn to 4 am and features No Cover before midnight and only $5 after midnight for members and $7 for non-members.

The Ramrod presents their monthly EDC (Enforced Dress Code) night from 9pm to midnight on the Patio Bar hosted by the new Mr. Ramrod, Darran Mazaika.

 

Monday, October 19

The Boardwalk presents the 3rd annual “Pink Bra Auction” from 8 pm to midnight. This event benefits Susan G Komen and features a silent auction and a live auction to bid on bling-ed out bras donated and modeled by some of South Florida’s famous bar personal and business owners. Tuesday, October 20

Lambda Men’s Brotherhood presents a “Silent Auction” at Rumors from 6to 9 pm. Proceeds will go to Gilda’s Club, Leather Archives and Museum, Grateful Paws Dog and Cat Rescue, and The Original Ft. Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus.

The GFLGLCC presents their October Mixer at Alibi/Monkey Bar in the Manchester Room from 5:30-7:30pm. GFLGLCC members get in free and future members are only $10. The event features 1 complimentary Reyka Vodka drink and complimentary finger food.

 

Wednesday, October 21

Broward House’s Smart Ride Team, “Give A Shift” presents a 70’s Disco Dance Party at Hunters from 8-11pm that will feature dance and best dresses contests. The night will be hosted by Alexis Couture. The South Beach Seafood Festival is in its third year and will be held on the sands of South Beach starting today and going through the 24. The main festival will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 1 to 9 p.m., on the corner of 7th and Ocean in Miami Beach.
