Bourbon Street Pub and New Orleans House presents Luau Weekend from today until Sunday, July 7 with clothing optional pool parties each day and night in the Garden Bar. The weekend will also feature VJ Gary Nolan, DJ Rude Girl, early evening shows by Jeff Moss and The Men of Bourbon each night. 

The Club Fort Lauderdale is featuring a free poolside luncheon today at 1pm, and don’t forget that until July 7 they are having a huge sale where 6 months membership are ½ price…only $20. 

MiamiComedy.com and The Miami Improv (3450 NW 83 Avenue, Suite 224, Doral) present a unique comedy showcase flying in Atlanta Comedians to perform alongside Miami Comedians to celebrate Independence day! Speaking of the Miami Improv, Aries Spears starts a 3 day stint there tonight. Best known for his years on MADtv, Aries was 14 years old, when he became a force to be reckoned with in the comedy scene throughout America. His quick wit, charisma and ferociously aggressive style of comedy have earned him critical acclaim, high accolades, and above all, a busy schedule continually touring the country with his stand-up.

Saturday, July 6

Mitown productions presents an exclusive evening with the legendary superstar and Lifetime Grammy Award-winner Dionne Warwick at the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts at 8pm.  Accompanied by a live symphony orchestra, this star-studded event will feature Dionne singing her classic Grammy Award-winning songs and record-topping hits, such as “Walk on By,”  “Don’t Make Me Over,” and “That’s What Friends Are For,” among many others.

The Grille on the Drive (2000 Wilton Drive) presents a benefit luncheon in support of The pet Project for Pets and Broward County Animal Care and Adoption from 11am to 2pm. Hugh Jackman, the Australian actor, singer and dancer has proven he can move easily from action roles to musical theater, appearing as Wolverine in the X-Men series and P.T. Barnum in “The Greatest Showman.” He brings his world tour to south Florida for one night only at the BB&T Center at 7pm. Tickets start at $46 at Thebbtcenter.com.

Ramrod presents Pig Dance #131 (first Saturday of every month) featuring the sounds of guest DJ Daniel Kristophere from Italy, from 10pm to 3am. 

The Club Fort Lauderdale features their bi-monthly (1st and 3rd Saturday of the month) Res-Erection Naked Blackout event at 10p.m. This is always a sold-out event, so get there early!

The Manor Complex is featuring their yearly FREE Membership Card party. Go in on Saturday, and you will get a membership card that gives you discounted admission weekly. In the Ballroom, they will feature the sounds of DJ Sushiman. In the Ivy Dance Room and Patio, Noche Latina Saturdays is celebrating Venezuelan Independence starring Kalah Mendoza and Elishaly D’Witches, along with DJ Larry Larr and sexy Latin Go-Go Papi’s. Flip Flops Dockside Eatery presents their monthly T Dance (first Sunday of the month) from 4 to 7p.m., hosted by Amanda Austin with DJ Robert Lavalle spinning and this month’s special guests: Jasmine Pryce Lords, Nicole Saphire and Erika Norell.

The Key West Business Guild invites everyone to join them for their July Luncheon at the Key West Marriot Beachside Hotel from noon to 1pm.
