A new look at median home prices shows that some of America’s most beloved gayborhoods come with sky-high costs. Cape May, New Jersey, known for its beaches and queer-friendly bars, averages $1.82 million. New York’s iconic Greenwich Village sits at $1.85 million, home to the Duplex, the Stonewall Inn, and what one visitor called the first National Park monument to acknowledge the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Nearby Chelsea rises to $1.92 million. Rehoboth Beach, or “Rehomo,” hits $1.94 million with its famous boardwalk. Topping the list is Laguna Beach, California, at $2.5 million, the epicenter of queer Orange County.
