The Miami-Dade LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce has appointed Jason Nunez as its new Director of Programming and External Affairs. Nunez is described as a respected leader in South Florida’s LGBTQ+ business and nonprofit community, bringing executive, entrepreneurial, and advocacy experience to the role.
A United States military veteran, he is the Founder and CEO of Go Digital Hero, a digital operations and strategy firm supporting businesses, nonprofits, and government partners. He also serves as Vice President of the Board of PFLAG Fort Lauderdale. Most recently, Nunez served as President and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce, where he led initiatives aimed at strengthening member engagement, elevating programming, expanding sponsorship partnerships, and increasing regional visibility.
Talking about the new appointment, Lisette Garcia, Executive Director of MDGLCC said, “Jason understands the ecosystem of chambers, community collaboration, and economic empowerment at a deep level…His leadership, innovation, and relationship-building expertise will help elevate our programming and strengthen our external partnerships as we continue advancing opportunities for LGBTQ+ and allied businesses.” In his new role, Nunez will oversee strategic programming development and expand external affairs initiatives across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors.
