An Austin church is standing tall after being targeted by another act of vandalism. Last year, Life in the City (LITC) United Methodist Church was vandalized with the removal of their pride flag. They responded by creating a rainbow mural on the side of the building. On Sunday a portion of that mural was tagged with the spray-painted words ‘Pride Is Sin’. Posting on Facebook, the Church said, “Let us be clear: hate has absolutely no place in our sanctuary. LITC is steadfast in its commitment to standing with the LGBTQIA+ community and all marginalized communities today and always. We will continue to be a light in the darkness.” They are accepting donations to cover the cost of repairing the mural.
