The 19th Annual Taste of the Island will offer guests the opportunity to sample some of the best food and beverage options South Florida has to offer. On Monday, November 11, from 6pm (5:30pm for VIP ticketholders) to 9 pm (entry gate closes at 8 pm) at the beautiful Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve (1937 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, Florida 33305), more than 35 local restaurants and bars in the greater Wilton Manors area will participate in this culinary event.
“This annual event has become a staple in our Island City community and has really grown in attendance and participation over the years,” said Jeff Sterling. “Our restaurant business partners do a fantastic job of offering a variety of food and beverage items to help raise funds in support of area non-profits and city programming. We are so thankful for their participation which has made the event so successful.”
Everyone in the community is invited to explore a wide range of culinary delicacies and specialty beverages from local favorites such as Bravo Peruvian Restaurant, Camille’s, Gulf Stream Brewing Company, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Casa Monarca, Sardi’s Café, Noir Thai Kitchen, El Guanaco, Union Kitchen, Golden Crust – just to mention a few. The event will once again, and back by popular demand, feature the sounds of the Synergy Twins. The Fabulous Faye What will be hosting and when I spoke with her and she said “I am so excited to once again be the hostess of Taste of the Island, which is the premiere Food Tasting event in Wilton Manors. For one day, all of our favorite restaurants in Wilton and Fort Lauderdale come together and we stuff our faces!! Getting a chance to try a restaurant you haven’t gone to is my favorite part. From meat dishes, to vegan, to desserts, to beers and everything in between; Taste of the Island has it all!’
The 19th Annual Taste of the Island is made possible by the tremendous support of the WMEG, and the City of Wilton Manors Leisure Services.
