F.L.I.R.T.
Fort Lauderdale Invitational Regional Tournament (FLIRT ) is the not for profit local bowling tournament held every year during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. FLIRT is a member of the largest gay sporting organization in the world, the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO). Membership into IGBO is by invitation only. There are three voting membership classifications in IGBO: League—A gay/lesbian bowling league (currently league membership is over 170), Tournament—A gay/lesbian bowling tournament (currently tournament membership is over 60 throughout the United States and abroad) and Organization—a group of gay/lesbian bowling leagues and/or tournaments.

-Co-Directors FLIRT 2010 are Brian Gordan and Gabe Him
-FLIRT is in its 27th year
-FLIRT has donated over 65,000.00 to local charities
-In 2002 FLIRT hosted IGBO’s annual tournament which consisted of over 400 hundred bowlers and produced the largest payout in IGBO’s history
-This year we expect to host over 50 – 4 person teams (or 200 bowlers) and their supporters
-Jan 15th – Registration: 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm at Rosie’s Bar & Grill
-Welcoming Party: 10:00 pm at The Manor
-Jan 16th – Singles / Doubles Event: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Sawgrass Lanes, Tamarac (University/Southgate), Host Bar – Matty’s on the drive 9:00 pm until close
-Jan 17th – Team Event: 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Sawgrass Lanes, Tamarac, Closing Party: 10:00 pm until close at Sidelines Sports Bar.
