New Year’s Eve, Now 2010
WOW… what an incredible night for the historic Ybor community and us! Our night was all planned out when some fantastic surprises popped up!
To start the night off we were invited by “Spirit of the Cigar City Krewe” (SpiritOfCigarCityKrewe.com) to be on their float as VIPs from Tampa’s YCDC, tossing thousands and thousands of beads to the huge, wild football bowl crowds!

WOW… what an incredible night for the historic Ybor community and us! Our night was all planned out when some fantastic surprises popped up!
To start the night off we were invited by “Spirit of the Cigar City Krewe” (SpiritOfCigarCityKrewe.com) to be on their float as VIPs from Tampa’s YCDC, tossing thousands and thousands of beads to the huge, wild football bowl crowds! After the parade we were greeted by Rudolph and invited to the Private Auburn University VIP Party on the balcony of the Honey Pot. Much to our surprise it was the President & Deans of Auburn University Parade Watching Party! Here we got an interview with Robert Smith, President of Auburn Alumni Association. Robert even had us cracking up! We were there when the over 600 band members from Auburn played in the parade below. After the parade we met up with the YCDC gang and had a toast at The Reservoir with Mama. Our group had grown to 6 (Sharon Rose, Jack Sarver, Dean & Diane James and the 2 of us) as we made our way to the newly opened Hamburger Mary’s for dinner. Talk about packed! But with good friends, a great show starring Miss Joey Brooks & Jocelyn Summers had us all laughing made it go by too fast. Into the Crowbar to see Bonnie, then Spurs Country to see Kevin and Jeff. It was a midnight kiss at Steam – The Honey Pot with my sweetie. What was next supposed to be a quick stop at Chelsea Nightclub turned into a 2 hour experience. The charming North Florida Ave. neighborhood club had a great drag show, hot dancers, a champagne bar and more. The kick off to 2010 was so much fun we can’t wait for the rest of this year! Ace Productions Chaos Saturday’s at Firestone Live presents DJB in the main room and DJ Infinite in the loft spinning hip hop on Saturday, January 16th.
