The old 7-14 Lounge building has been sold and opening in its place is a skateboard shop and a bar. Travelocity has given Tampa two of its infamous TAG Awards for being outstanding in GLBT lodging to the Hyatt Regency Downtown Tampa and the Hampton Inn & Suites in Ybor City. A new place for sushi in Ybor is the new Buddha Lounge (old Nest Lounge) on the corner of 7th Ave. and 15th Street. Look for familiar faces as bar manager and kitchen staff. Congratulations on a new venture for former St. Petersburg King & I Restaurant owner Brian Khan. He sold the Thai themed restaurant in December. His new restaurant is scheduled to open in April in the St. Pete Grand Central District. And what is John at Pepperz Bar and Oar House up to? We hear he is opening up the new Partner’s Bar & Cafe on 5th Ave. in St. Pete. Club Nautica is having Chiq Nite Saturday nights at the club on 66th Street! There was quite the wild birthday party at Hamburger Mary’s this week. After the piano player Mary gave a spanking on the piano bench!
Nikki’s Birthday at Chelsea Night Club
Is it possible to have too much fun at a Gay bar? No, but Chelsea Night Club sure did push the envelope for owner Nikki’s birthday! Surrounded by great friends and just plain good people, the band Article – 7 (Article-7.com) performed, playing all the hits of the 80’s and 90’s. At one point Nikki picked up the tambourine and showed us all her musical talents!
On Saturday, January 30th at 8 pm the Parliament House presents Blackout Night 2, a Space Odyssey. This will be an out of this world nightclub experience with special guest Replikunt and Miss Cori joining the footlight players in a Neon Review at 10 pm and 12 am.

A local coffee roaster, Ybor City Gold, has a great Ybor coffee blend in both whole bean and ground that is great and is flying off the shelf.
