On Saturday I went down to South Beach for the pool party at the Victor Hotel which was part of Summerfest 2010. Summerfest is the only major gay event on South Beach over the summer and is a benefit for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. It was a busy pool party filled with sexy men in speedos. As you can imagine I drove home to Lauderdale with a smile on my face. Saturday night I went to Bill’s for the talents of Sherry Vine, who did not disappoint. I hope she comes back to town real soon. Afterwards I headed to The Manor for the Elite Underwear Fashion Show and as usual Saturdays pack them in at The Manor in every room. The fashion show was filled with hot men in skimpy underwear (YUM) and the Latin Room featured a CD giveaway with the best Latin music of the summer. I saw hot men almost naked, got a free Latin CD and had a blast all for no cover, who could ask for anything more than that? More you ask? No more, as Sunday I stayed in and relaxed while organizing some areas of my house… oh, I then cried when Michael didn’t win “Design Star!”

With his patients in mind, the toothpaste was initially created as a small gift to keep their smiles white, strong and healthy between visits. Originally retailing out of Dr. Smigel’s Madison Avenue office, patients were lining up three deep to get some of this miracle toothpaste. One of those patients happened to be an editor at Mademoiselle Magazine, and sure enough the following month the tooth paste received a laudable write-up. The groundbreaking toothpaste took off. Overwhelmed by the response but armed with strong foresight, Lucia saw an opportunity to turn the toothpaste into a viable operation. Way ahead of the tooth whitening boom, Lucia expanded the brand into a twenty SKU product line. Today, under Lucia’s leadership Supersmile has become a celebrated line of complete oral care retailing in thousands of locations in over a dozen countries and is a favorite of celebrities world-wide.
