Last Saturday’s Carrie West for Tampa City Council Reception at G. BAR was a big success. The GO WEST Campaign decorated signs, green & white balloons and GO WEST shirts were very visible on the bartenders. Hundreds of Tampa newcomers and regulars were greeted by Carrie. A great “Thank you” goes to D. Stephen Moss, Steve Donahue, Ernie Webb, Thomas Patrick, DJ Gregg Anderson and all the staff members.
Grand Opening of “The Queen & I Thai Restaurant”
Tuesday was the Grand Opening of the new Queen & I Thai Restaurant on Central Ave. in St. Pete. The new owners Bryan Chant and Don Vanderboegh have been working on the new Thai themed restaurant for almost a year. The interior has a hand-painted and gem adorned Buddha wall by Frank. The line trying to get in was literally out the door with hundreds of special guests already inside. After an hour getaway to one of our favorite St. Pete Vietnamese restaurants, we returned.to barely get in to see the Special Thai Drag Show being performed. A sampling of sushi, Pad Thai, curry dishes, Laos-style papaya salad and Thai desserts were on the festive buffet. Bunches of roses were on every table and all around the room for good luck! The new restaurant is located at 2410 Central in the Grand Central District. Open everyday.
