Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars 5

Episode 5 – India Ferrah

Episode 5 of All Stars 5 starts out with Ru telling the girls it was time for Snatch Game of Love. Ru reminds the girls that if you do well in Snatch Game everyone remembers, and if you bomb, they really remember. She also goes on to tell the girls, the most important part of Snatch Game is to be funny! Ru walks through the workroom and finds out the girls will be impersonating:

JuJu – Eartha Kitt

Blair – Ellen DeGeneres

Shea – Flava Fav

India – Jeffree Star

Alexis – Walter Mercado

Miz Cracker – Lady Gaga

The first Snatch Game of Love stars Tommy Dorfman with Cracker, Alexis and India. Tommy picks Alexis as the winner. The second game stars Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman with JuJu, Shea and Blair with Jeffrey picking Shea.

Both Tommy and Jeffrey are the guest judges, and the runway look is Prom Queen Fantasy. In the end, the top all-star is Shea, and Ru explains that starting immediately if you are not the top you are in the bottom, so all 5 of the other queens are up for elimination.

In the work room, India tell Shea that Alexis campaigned for her to go home the week she was in the bottom 3. Alexis denies this. Who was telling the truth….read on!

The Lip Sync assassin this week is Vanessa Vanjie Mateo and Shea wins and gets a $10,000 tip and the responsibility to send one queen home and she chooses India, as did all the other queens.

It was a pleasure to sit down with India for this exclusive Hotspots Interview:

How has your life changed since you were on Drag Race?

OMG, it has changed tremendously. I moved to Las Vegas and have worked there steadily. I also have a boyfriend for the last 8 years, and he does drag also; Savannah James. We are now engaged. We also co-own a website: FerrahJamesDesigns.com. We sell many items including masks.

What has been some of your favorite cities to visit as a RuPaul Alumni?

Definitely London, as Dragcon UK was incredible. In the states I love New York and Chicago as I have been brought back to those cities multiple times.

How exciting was it to get called back for All Stars?

Super exciting and a big blessing and surprise as season 3 is so long ago.

How hard was it to keep the secret that you are on all stars?

It was so hard, as there are so many people that try and spoil it or get it out of you. But I kept the secret.

How did you prepare differently for all stars than you did the first time you were on the show?

This time I started preparing immediately. In addition, I was in a much better headspace. In season 3 I was in a toxic relationship, and was living in Ohio, where they were not very supportive. For all-stars, Vegas was very supportive.

In this last episode you said Alexis campaigned for you to vote off Shea when she was in the bottom 3, is this true or was it game play?

It was honestly the truth. However, it wasn’t so much of an alliance, but rather Alexis and Mayhem came to me to see if I voted Shea off.

To be clear, was it before or after you already voted?

It was after I voted.

Now that you have been eliminated, who do you want to win?

This is such a hard question, as I love everyone on the cast. However, my top 2 are Shea and Juju.

What’s Ahead for India?

Hopefully a wedding. We planned it for this year, but it’s on hold due to Covid. We did just buy a new house, and we are moving into it. I miss the stage and can’t wait to get back to touring and live performing.

Is there anything I didn’t ask you that you want to talk about?

Yes, that I am so thankful that the world got to see me and who I have grown into as a person and performer.
