Fans of musicians who tickle the ivories and are masters of the keyboards will get three days of musical delights as the first ever “Keys On The Key” comes to beautiful Key Biscayne starting today through Sunday, April 3. Both the Key Biscayne Community Center and Key Biscayne Village Council Chamber will be turned into a musical marathon showcasing some of Miami-Dade County’s best homegrown talent, and admission is free. At Keys on the Key audiences will be able to move between the venues following mini concerts, sampling different styles of piano music (classical, pop, jazz, new age, and improv) performed by various piano virtuosi. The weekend will take on a mini-festival format where space between venues will highlight spot performances as well as food offerings featuring Key Biscayne-based restaurants and businesses. All participating artists will be South Florida-based and will perform for no longer than 20 minutes at a time. Artists from Miami-Dade will be selected through a County-wide call. Hotspots! Art Gallery with Dennis Dean (3500 NE 12th Avenue in Oakland Park) presents the April opening night reception from 6-9pm featuring artists: Heather Neiman, Rosaria Vigorito, Michael Jude Russo, Robert Reda, Suzanne Barton, and Dennis Dean.
The Eagle Wilton Manors presents “Jungle Zoo” starring DJ Paulo with a $15 cover all night.
The Manor Complex presents “Menergy” starring DJ/Producer Alexander in the ballroom. In the Ivy Dance Room and Patio, Noche Latina Saturdays stars Taina Norell with special guest Natsh D’Witshe Venom, Resident DJ Duniel and Sexy Go-Goo Papi’s. O, Miami Poetry Festival presents Queer Art Showcase featuring photography, paintings, poetry and spoken word created by 10 LGBTQ+ artists at Roxy South Beach from 6:30-8:30pm. Celebrate the art of the South Florida queer community while getting in the groove with throwback classic vibes curated by Deejay SmeeJay. Featuring poetry readings at 7pm & 8pm by Clayre Benzadon, Ranijun Ruado, and Agua Dulce.

Hotspots Magazine and Happening Out TV present Pride Skate which this month celebrates “Mardi Gras” at Xtreme Action Park from 7-10pm. Pride Skate, which takes place the first Wednesday of every month is a fundraiser for Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade and street festival. The event features DJ T-Pro mix, divas Velvet Lenore and Rianna Petrone, skating, and a full liquor bar. The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center’s Broadway Concert Series welcomes Lucie Arnaz at 7 pm. Celebrating a life on stage, Arnaz returns to her theater roots with I Got the Job! This special performance looks back at some of Arnaz’s memorable performances, from her first role at 14 as The Cheshire Cat in Alice In Wonderland to a grandmother hanging upside down on a trapeze while singing about the preciousness of life in Pippin. With music director Ron Abel, Arnaz celebrates great American musical theatre with anecdotes and fond memories about her co-stars, directors and musical collaborators. In this latest offering in the Aventura Broadway Concert Series, she delivers iconic songs and hidden treasures from some of Broadway’s greatest shows and a look at the backstage magic it takes to create them. FLIFF’s Drag Out The Movies at Savor Cinema for April is Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. Burlesque is the story of a small-town girl who ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer. Once again Blamie will be the hostess. Symphony of the Americas presents American Classics – Gershwin and Bernstein’s Broadway, conducted by Artistic Director Pablo Mielgo, at 7:45pm in the Amaturo Theater at Broward Center for the Performing Arts. “Broadway is America’s gift to the world where musical and theatrical styles collide to create a national identity. From the brotherly dream team of George and Ira Gershwin, and Leonard Bernstein, their music is forever ingrained into the American musical and social fabric,” commented Pablo Mielgo. The performance features the Symphony of the Americas performing some of the greatest music by Gershwin and Bernstein, with vocals by special South Florida guest artists: Kyaunnee Richardson, Alexander Zenoz, and Anna Lise Jenson. The evening’s finale will feature the trio in a performance of I Got Rhythm from the Gershwin brothers. Tickets range from $35 to $75 and can be purchased at Browardcenter.org.
