World AIDS museum presents a film discussion series for “The Cure (1995)” from 5-7pm at 1350 East Sunrise Blvd #109, Fort Lauderdale.

Today is the Miami Marlins opening day. The Miami Marlins are gearing up for another sensational season in 2024! Coming off the team’s fourth postseason appearance in club history and the second in five years, the Fish are excited to welcome their fans back to loanDepot park. Come celebrate Tran Visibility Week at No Manors with humanity and humor for the premiere of the short film satire “Diaper Doll” starring Candis Cayne (in response to the Anti-Trans Bathroom Bill) from 7-9pm. They invite you to wear your best Diaper Doll look and you will get a complimentary cocktail. The event is hosted by Candis Cayne, Danna Davis, Christopher Gustafson, Tiffany Arieagus, Tatiana Williams, and Misty Eyez.

The Manor Complex presents the “Big Bunny Ball” starring festival DJ Isis Muretech, and spectacular shows, production, and décor in the main room. Noche Latina Saturdays, in the Ultra Room and patio features rotating DJs spinning the best of Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Bachata and Latin House, Latin Divas and Sexy Go-Go papi’s. Doors open at 11pm with no cover for Fl Res until midnight.

Hunters Nightclub presents an Easter Bonnet Contest from 7-8pm hosted by Daisy Deadpetals. The winner will receive a Hunters $100 Gift Card, 2nd a $50 G/c and 3rd a $25 G/C.

Pub on the Drive presents an Easter Party hosted by Faye What?! And Eric Restivo that will include an Easter Bonnet contest for cash and prizes (registration begins at 5pm, contest at 6:15). They will also feature a Ham Dinner special for $21.99 that features glazed ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a dinner roll (starting at 1pm).

SunServe, a provider for the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, along with the Aids Healthcare Foundation, will be hosting “Let’s Have a KiKi,” a celebration of Transgender Day of Visibility! Attendees at this FREE event will get to indulge in a delectable spread of brunch bites and refreshing mimosas to honor the vibrant and diverse transgender community.  This event will be a great opportunity to let loose and have a fun time on the dance floor, mingle with fellow organizations, share experiences, and build connections. There will also be a chance to engage in friendly competition with various games that are sure to add a touch of excitement to the celebration. Tonight, is the monthly Pride Skate (first Thursday of the month) at Xtreme Action Park (5300 Powerline Road, Ft laud) from 7 to 10pm with an Easter theme. The night will star Velvet LeNore, Rianna Petrone, DJ T-pro, and a full liquor bar and lots of fun! Pride Skate Nights are a benefit for Stonewall Pride.

Miami Beach Pride presents their annual Miss Miami Beach Pride Pageant at 7pm at Exchange Miami (1532 Washington Avenue). The event is once again hosted by Tiffany Fantasia and features former title holders: Athena Dion, Elishaly D’Witshes, Joanna James, Kalah Mendoza, Malaysia Babydoll Foxx, Mhyia Iman Lepaige, and TP Lords, and honoring last years winner Fantasia Royale Gaga.  This is a 21+ event and tickets are $25 GA and $50 for Preferred Seating at Miamibeachpride.com.

Friday, April 5

The Pink Nail Society, give prostate cancer the finger presents a spring awareness luau hosted by Kitty Meow at Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar from 5-9pm. The event will feature free cancer screenings by the University of Miami. Tickets can be found at Flockfestevents.org.

A much beloved Roman Catholic priest is suddenly thrust into the midst of a scandal. Empire Stage presents “The Dead Boy,” which is a story of longing and taboo. Joe Pitauro’s searing play is inspired by the scandal alleging that the priest who founded New York City’s Covenant House sexually abused one of the homeless youths in the institution founded to protect them. 100 Mins, No Intermission, and is directed by David Simson and stars Michael Schenker, Robert Sharkey, Rick Prada, Kelly di Lorenzo, and Danny Distasio. Palm Beach Improv and Kravis Center present Heather Mcdonald today and tomorrow at Persson Hall. Heather has released stand-up comedy specials on Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Showtime. Her latest stand-up special, “Juicy Scoop,” racked up an unheard-of amount of five-star reviews in its first two weeks of being available. It continues to grow and make people laugh daily.
