Miss England just crowned its first openly gay winner, 20-year-old Grace Richardson. The musical theater student and part-time model says she is in shock after winning the 2025 title on November 21, five years after coming out on TikTok and enduring homophobic bullying at school. Richardson hopes her visibility helps LGBTQ youth. She said, “I feel so powerful and proud of myself… It was a struggle to accept myself while a lot of people weren’t accepting me…It is important for young people… to feel seen.”
